Happy birthday to my Daniel! :)
My little booger is finally 23. I'm happy that I was able to celebrate this special occasion with him this year. I love birthdays and of course the best way to celebrate such an occasion is with delicious food!
Started his birthday on Sunday with a surprise brunch. I called him around 1240pm and told him that my car broke down. I parked a few blocks away from the restaurant - Skool - and after about 15 minutes, my superman came to save me. Right when he got there, he got out of his car because he wanted to see what was wrong with my car. That definitely caught me off guard and panicking, I told him "No, it's okay. Let's just go." Lame attempt, but at least it stopped the whole thing from blowing up on me. I told him I would treat him to lunch to thank him for coming to save me so off to Skool we went!
"Surprise! Happy birthday!"
- Kezia, John, Mama & Papa Yeung
Big thanks to Kezia for helping me plan this and suggesting this restaurant! All the food that she ordered was soooo yummy :3
Even though this boring birthday boy wouldn't wear his sash and even though the balloon flew away, I think it was quite the epic birthday surprise. I will definitely never forget what happened with the cake...
April 15th - YAY! Happy 23rd birthday to Daniel! ^___^
Daniel had class that afternoon so after he got home, we went out to lunch at Kitcho. Special occasion so we ordered even more yummier food than usual.
Tasting spoons! Mmm, so delicious. These were definitely better than the oyster shooters that we had last time. I think they are actually cheaper too..
Ikura and uni nigiri!
Sunrise nigiri. I've always wanted to try this.
Full order of chef's sashimi combo. Yum!! :3
After a filling lunch and Tpumps, we went back to his house to take a nap before dinner. (Yeah, his birthday was pretty much just food+sleep. Best combo ever.)
Woke up around 6pm and got ready to head out to Chapeau! :)
We arrived a little earlier than our 8pm reservations so of course had to take some selfiies in the car.
Lighting inside Chapeau is dim and yellow-y = bad pictures, especially food pictures T___T
Not going to post them because they are not impressive at all but we each had the 3 course meal. He had escargot, duck leg confit, and creme brulee. I had the oysters, filet mignon, and french toast.
Everything was so yummy, especially that french toast. Omgah orgasm in my mouth :3
I had an awesome night filled with my favorite boy plus yummy food. I only hope that he felt the same.
Happy birthday again baby. Hope you had a wonderful (first) birthday with me this year. I love you.
