It's been a month since our SoCal trip but I still haven't posted about parts besides Disneyland, so here it is! I miss it so much already! I always get the vacation withdrawals after and they just seem to get worse and worse as time goes by. Really can't wait for the next vacay..which might be Vegas but I don't think it counts as it's only a one-two day trip. Anyway, here's my SoCal trip:


The beginning of our seven hour drive down. Daniel picked me up and then we headed to McDonalds to grab something to eat before we began. I ordered a Happy Meal since I wanted the Despicable Me minion, hehe. I ended up trading with Will later though because he got the Banana one. The drive itself was quite dreadful. We hit traffic an insane amount of times so even though it should have only taken us five hours, it took us seven.

After we finally arrived in Yorba Linda, we checked in, dropped off our luggage, and then Will picked us up to eat dinner! He brought us to Kula Revolving Sushi Bar which is sushi boat! It was so good and so satisfying as a first SoCal meal.


Next morning, Daniel and I tried Chick-fil-A for the first time. I LOVED their Spicy McChicken Burger. It's like having a whole legit piece of chicken in your sandwich, so good! Afterwards, we walked around Costco and tried to kill time before Will got off work.


It was a fun night. We first hit up happy hour at Yardhouse, walked around since we were all buzzed, and then went to Ralph's to get more alcohol for the night. Then we drove to DT Fullerton and hit up a bar where you can eat peanuts and throw as many shells on the floor to your desire. After that, we went to another bar where we got a huge fishbowl for $40~ More than half of the bowl went to waste though since I was DD, Will was about to yack, and Daniel just had enough. We stopped by Walgreens to buy more alcohol and McDonald's to grab some food, but we barely drank or ate anything before we all KO'ed.

The next day was Disneyland, but I already have an entry dedicated to that.


The day after Disneyland was a double date day with Will and his girlfriend, Amanda! We headed to Bruxie's for lunch since I've been wanting to try it!


I had the chicken and waffles combination and although it was good, it wasn't mind-blowing delicious.


After Bruxie's, we watched Despicable Me 2! Maybe it was because of the alcohol I had beforehand, but I wasn't feeling well in the theaters. I was super sleepy and super cold. Afterwards, we dropped Amanda at her friend's house and then played Settlers for the rest of the night.



The next day was our last day with Will. He brought us to Pieology for lunch and omg, we really need something like that in SF. It's a pizza version of Chipotle :3 After a last game of Settlers, Daniel and I said goodbye to Will and headed out to Round 1!


We ended up getting this big headed yellow bear, but it wasn't just an ordinary win; it has quite the story to it.

Daniel and I decided to fill the card with $25 to play around with the UFO machines. He tried his luck a few times with another machine before we discovered this big yellow bear. We were really close to getting it but after three tries, the bear was positioned where there was no way possible to grab it. I read on Yelp earlier that you can actually ask one of the workers there to re-position the stuffed animal if that happens so I walked around to find someone. He took out the bear, re-positioned it until he could actually win it himself and then left us to try our luck once again. We used up the last few dollars and decided not to put anymore money in the card, it was sad because the bear was so close to falling and there was a bunch of FobZ in the back watching us that we knew they would try playing afterwards and probably easily win the bear. We ended walking around the mall a little mopey...until Daniel spotted a Dippin' Dots vending machine! If you know Daniel, you would know he's absolutely obsessed with Dippin' Dots. We bought a cup to cheer ourselves up and then walked back to Round 1 for some bowling. I wanted to see if the foBz won the bear so we walked back to the machine and lo and behold, it was gone :[ Then at the same time without saying anything to each other, we both walked one step closer to the machine and looked down at the hole...and LO AND BEHOLD, the big headed yellow bear was at the bottom!! We're guessing that the foBz tried playing, didn't win, left, and then the bear slowly fell to the bottom by itself. Don't know, don't care, all I know is that Daniel "won" me a bear ;) We did spend plenty of $$ on this bear so no shame, it's ours!



We bowled two games and left Round 1 shortly after. I told Daniel that we were not leaving SoCal until I got my Boiling Point fix, so Boiling Point dinner we had! AHHH I missed it so much :3 I got my fav (HOUSE SPECIAL THAT HAS STINKY TOFU) and omgaaaah it hit THE SPOT. Okay, you can see how excited I get about BP...I should stop.

After having THE GREATEST MEAL ON EARTH, we drove off to Riverside since we were staying at Terrence's for two days before heading back home.



Honestly the last two days were boring so nothing to blog about there besides having Asahi for dinner one night. Anyway, that's about it for the whole SoCal trip! It's been a month since we were there and I'm craving to go back already! All the good food :3 Oh boy, bring me back, bring me back!
