Apparently it's National Sibling Day. I don't know who invented these "holidays" or what we're supposed to do for them, but I guess it's a good reminder to set aside some time to acknowledge this little booger in my life. I've known this boy for about 15 (going onto 16) years now and though we are so many years apart, we get along rather well. We used to argue a lot here and there, but I remember after the year I went to San Jose for school, things started settling down for us. I will never forget how he called me while I was in SJ for no reason.
"Hello?"
"Hi."
"Uh okay...what do you want? Why did you call me?"
"I don't know...no reason."
I'll just take it that he missed me and my voice.
Maybe it's because he's growing up even more, but I feel like after his baptism, he matured a lot more. We can have actual conversations without him getting annoyed at me asking questions and he can actually explain things to me without getting frustrated when I just don't understand the first time around. I can't believe he's going to be a senior in just a few months and then after that, he'll be leaving for college. Where has the time gone?! Maybe this time around, I'll be the one calling him for no reason at all.
