Tourists for a day

It's always fun playing tourist, especially in your very own city. There's so much to do in San Francisco but having lived here for 16 years, it doesn't really cross my mind to actually explore around my city. In all my years here, yesterday was my first time riding the cable car! We started our day at Downtown San Francisco, had lunch in the food court at Westfield Mall, and then waited about 45 minutes for our turn to ride the cable car. Time seemed to move slow at first, but after a few games of Candy Crush, spotting "Weasley" twins in front of us, and people watching (there really are a lot of strange people in SF..), we were finally in the front!

When we arrived at the wharf, before leaving the cable car, we asked the worker to take a picture of us wi th the car. To our surprise, he actually gave us a big photoshoot - poses and all! He told us where to pose and made us laugh a lot so we would "have candid shots". He ended up shooting about twenty photos altogether. San Francisco...you get surprises everywhere you go.

It was a really fun day. We went to the Musée Mécanique to play arcade games, walked all around the pier, watched people street perform, explored different little shops selling all sorts of stuff, had clam chowder at Boudin, and visited Johnson at work.

More adventures! More adventures! :)
