SoCal: Parte Uno

Herman and I were able to squeeze another SoCal trip before our December/Winterbreak one! It was a super spontaneous idea, we literally came up with it four days before-hand. I loved it. It was our first spontaneous trip and I hope that there will be many more to come.

The trip was November 10-13th, 2011. YEP. THE BIG THREE :) I can't believe it's been three years...

Right when we got to LA, we went to surprise Raymond Peng. It was pretty difficult because we had to get his address from Jon but it turned out that he lived in one of those complexes and we didn't have his house number so we couldn't go straight to his door. We tried calling and asking a whole bunch of people but no one knew so we resorted with calling Ray himself and asking. It was funny because he really didn't believe us when we said we were in his building but we finally convinced him and off to his house we went!

Left soon after because Herman and I were both hungry and we decided to have our first meal at Boiling Point! What we know best :)

My favorite green milk tea! I just love it. I think the look really helps too, I love the sleek and simple design. MmMmm

Got our usuals: mine - stinky tofu, his - lamb

After our dinner, we headed straight to Tony's house in Irvine. We wanted to get some Tastea beforehand but it had already closed.

Next afternoon we had lunch at Le Dip with Tony and his housemate, Alex.

My chicken, broccoli, mushroom sandwich! The chicken was a little dry but otherwise, it was one delicious sandwich! There was another half to this and though it seemed so small at first glance, it filled me up to the rim. Surprised I was.

Herman enjoying his sandwich. I don't remember what he got but he was filled up as well. We were planning to order two different ones so we could share and try each other's, but he forgot and ate all his up. Fine by me, mine was yummy enough :3

The sky was sooooo gorgeous.

But it got extremely gloomy as the day went by. This was when we were driving to The Block for Tastea and shopping!

I'm going to be separating this trip into three different entries.
See you later :)
