It's already been half a year! Today marks 6 months :O
Being with Herman for these past 6 months have seriously taught me a lot. Some things I learned?
That love can never be measured and it can never be balanced between two people. Just because you show your love one way does not mean that they show it the same way. Everyone has their own way of showing their care and affection. You can't expect them to love you the same way as you to them.
That loving someone isn't something easy. You have to accept them for who they are rather than how you want them to be. You have to forgive mistakes and realize that those mistakes and bad decisions were meant to mean well. You have to learn to let go of the past and move forward. All these things are much easier said than done.
That the simple yet meaningful words, I love you, mean a lot.
That you can't take advantage of someone's understanding and patience all the time.
That sometimes you have to be the one to take initiative to tell them you love them rather than wait for them to say it first.
That time always heals. No matter how long it takes, it will heal wounds and hurts. Trust regains and that hole will start to reform.
That it's important to tell them how much you appreciate them. Actions mean more than words, but sometimes words speak louder than actions.
That if you love that person, you're going to do whatever it takes to just make it work out.
